Summerset – Kenepuru
Bettabuilt has been engaged to deliver carpentry work for several Summerset retirement villages across New Zealand, including the Summerset Kenepuru location in Porirua. The project’s main contractor is Brosnan, who relied on Bettabuilt for carpentry hire.
The project includes a 12,500m2 regional main building and facilities including a library, gym, resident workshop, bowling green, BBQ facilities, café, movie room, indoor pool, and spa.
At the height of construction, Bettabuilt had 45 carpenters working on site. Our team delivered a package of works that included installation of timber framing, engineered roof trusses, and structural elements. Bettabuilt was also responsible for various wall coverings and finishes including meeting sound transmission requirements, and install of all interior doors and finishing lines, including fire-rated doors. Bettabuilt also worked on the building envelope, which included building wrap and rigid air barrier installation. The final product is a structurally sound and energy-efficient building.
