Bettabuilt was engaged by Brosnan to deliver carpentry work for the construction of several Summerset retirement villages across New Zealand, including Summerset on the Landing, located in Kenepuru, Porirua.

The premium retirement village is centred around a 12,500m2 regional main building and offers a range of facilities including a library, gym, resident workshop, bowling green, BBQ facilities, café, movie room, indoor pool, and spa.

During the peak of construction, there were 45 Bettabuilt carpenters on site working on a labour-hire basis. The team delivered a package of works that included installation of timber framing, engineered roof trusses, and structural elements. Bettabuilt was also responsible for installing wall coverings and finishes, all interior doors and finishing lines, and fire-rated doors. Bettabuilt also worked on the building envelope, which included building wrap and rigid air barrier installation. The final product is a structurally sound, well-insulated, and energy-efficient building.
