Metlifecare – Auckland
Bettabuilt was engaged by Latham Construction to provide carpentry labour hire for the Metlifecare Apartment Buildings in Beachlands, Auckland.
This development included the construction of two three-level apartment blocks side-by-side within a retirement village. The fixed-price lump sum contract included the fit-out of 52 apartments. The project consisted of works to newly framed exterior walls within the building, roof construction, weathertightness, interior and fire door installations, and finishing lines.
Bettabuilt has had at least 16 carpenters on site with up to 32 carpenters on-site during a particularly busy time.
On this project, Bettabuilt was engaged to install the following
- Timber walls, floors, parapets, and roof frames
- Roof truss
- James Hardie Villaboard wall and soffit lining
- Plywood substrates
- Defection head
- Internal timber trims (skirting and architraves)
- Internal timber hinged and fire-rated door
- Internal timber sliding door and cavity slider
