Padfield Building Sensory Unit
The New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Limited is an internationally recognised science company which tests both expert and public consumer responses to food and beverage.
The scope of this project covered the refurbishment and fit out of level 1 sensory science unit of the Padfield Building located on the Mt Albert campus. This included the demolition of existing open plan working areas, offices and some laboratories, and the construction of a new sensory unit and office space. Also included in the works was a kitchen area for consumer food preparation, sensory booths, meeting rooms and toilet facilities in an area of approximately 700m².
